You cannot teach a old dog new tricks

From one news source or another:

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks and one woman in China is paying the price for trying. Her car crashed while she gave her dog a driving lesson. The woman, identified only by her surname, Li, said her dog "was fond of crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive", according to a Chinese news agency report.
"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They didn't make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."

No injuries were reported in the accident in the Inner Mongolia region, although both cars were damaged.

The report did not say what kind of dog or vehicles were involved but Li apparently paid for the repairs to the other car.

Driving is silly. The only times I go in a car are to the vet.

By the rationale she gives -- her dog was fond of steering? -- I would be cooking chicken every night, because I am rather fond of that. I would prepare chicken boiled in chicken stock, or baked with broccoli, or diced and sautéed with corn, or cut in thin strips and then fried in cocoanut milk -- yum, cocoanut! --, or perhaps even roast chicken with something cheesy on the side.
